I got mine from a boot CD we made at  work.<\/h2>\n<h2>How To:<\/h2>\n<h2>1) Make sure the USB is formated Fat32, NOT Fat16<\/h2>\n<h2>2) Run HP Key Boot Utility. This will make the USB bootable. It will  also put a bunch of files on the USB. Delete them ALL<\/h2>\n<h2>3) Copy the boot folder from the cd to the root of the USB<\/h2>\n<h2>4) open a command prompt<br \/>\nchange to the syslinux-x.xx\/win32  folder (where x.xx is the syslinux version)<br \/>\nrun syslinux &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For  example syslinux g:<\/h2>\n<h2>5) copy syslinux-x.xx\/com32\/menu\/vesamenu.c32 to the root of the pen  drive<\/h2>\n<h2>6) make a file in the root of the USB called syslinux.cfg. The reason we need this  menu is because of the way linux mounts USB devices and SATA drives.  From this menu you will need to choose IDE or SATA when imaging a  machine.<br \/>\nThe MENU BACKGROUND jpg is just there for show. You dont  need a background.<br \/>\nThe ALLOWOPTIONS 0 takes away the option to exit  and go to the bash prompt. There are many more options for the menu,  they can be found by googling vesamenu.c32 .<\/h2>\n<h2>8) copy the settings.txt from the cd to the root of the USB.<\/h2>\n<h2>Thats it your done. It should be noted that step 4 where you run  syslinux is supposed to be all you have to do to make the usb bootable  and not need to run the HP utility. I was not able to consistantly get  syslinux to make a bootable USB without first running HP. Additionaly,  if the USB became corrupt, the HP utility was the fastest way to  &#8220;rebuild&#8221; it. Windows wouldnt let me format it sometimes.<\/h2>\n<h2>9) UPDATE&#8230; Tired it for the first time with a disk larger then  2GB. When I went to run syslinux it gave me an error about the drive  aperaring to not be Fat. So I ran the HP on it again and still no luck. I  then just formated it with XP FAT32.
