EGR Valve Removal

The truck was a mess of reburn and EGR hoses. Now I am all for saving the environment, but this is a 50 year old car.

When I remove the carb you can see the EGR port was rather burnt and clogged.

here you can see the carb plate, one with EGR and one without.

unfortunately the non EGR also had no hole to hook up the PCV which I wanted to keep

So I cut a small plate of aluminium and bolted it where the EGR was

Then put it between the carb spacer.

I dont think it looks too bad.
